On Tuesday afternoon, Year 8 G2G students were given the opportunity to work with Shakespeare Schools Festival through a practical exploration of the ‘Scottish play’. They focused on key scenes, developing characterisation skills through the language of Shakespeare. This was a cross-curricular Drama and English event which was great preparation for later on in the year when they study the play Macbeth. Actress and facilitator, Lisa O’Hanlon from SSF began the session with some lively warm-up activities. This swiftly moved onto professional vocal exercises which explored tone of voice, projection and articulation. Congratulations Year 8s – you clearly enjoyed the afternoon’s Drama workshop, evidenced through a range of skills and techniques, teamwork and leadership activities. Well Done!
