Last week our Year 8s (pictured above) took on Mount St Joseph’s in a league meeting. The lads started very quickly with 2 fantastic goals from our latest addition Abdur Rahman A. The game was very close with Mount managing to pull one back. Our Sharples side worked hard to keep the pressure on, battling the elements and taking the 3 points. Great work boys!
Our Year 8 Sharples team started the week with a fixture away to Little Lever, a strong side in the league. The home side started strong taking an early 2 goal lead, but Sharples managed to get a goal back through Tom. We pushed forward and put the pressure on the home side, looking dangerous every time we went forward. Little Lever scored 2 more in the second half and our Sharples boys fought back, again scoring twice through a spectacular effort from Cole and a nicely worked goal from Abdur Rahman. The game ended 5-3 to the home side but it was a great game from start to finish. Great work Sharples!
