The Year 7 and Year 8 netball teams travelled to St James’s on Monday night in the first fixture of the year between the two schools. The Year 7s produced what was their best match to date, producing some fantastic netball, especially around the attacking third, to come away with the victory. The work that Year 7 have been doing in training over the last few weeks was evident in their brilliant match display. Special mention must go to Mia Parnell who received player of the match. The Year 8s took to the court next, and again showcased some excellent netball. Issy Flanagan and Evie Almond-Smith linked up brilliantly down the centre court to help the team come away with a well earned draw. A huge well done to all involved. The Year 9’s will be in action next week in the Bolton tournament.
