What a season that was!

By 26 May 2021June 2nd, 2021No Comments

Sunday 23rd May marked the final curtain on the 2020/2021 Premier League campaign, a season like no other. Manchester City lifted the trophy after a 5-0 win against Everton. Leicester City missed out on Champions League football on the final day, in which we also said farewell to West Brom, Fulham & Sheffield United.

As we look back on our inaugural Fantasy Football season, there has to be a special mention for all 91 managers that joined and took part in our league. There have been several examples of great results by managers that have been documented in our past newsletter articles, overall, there were 5 managers that finished with 2000 points and above.

The Sharples Fantasy Football champion for this season is Yaseen Yousuf in 8P1 who scored a monumental total of 2106 points, finally finishing 71 points ahead of second placed Josh Marsh. Yaseen twice scored over 100 points, with his highest total coming in this month’s Gameweek 35 with an incredible 135 points.

Yaseen will receive several prizes which will be presented to him very soon, be sure to keep your eyes on Sharples PE Twitter (@SharplesPE) to see the prizes.

Preparations are already underway for next season’s competition on how to improve our league and make it bigger and better than ever. Keep your eyes peeled around school for posters and notices that will be shared!

A special mention also has to go to Mrs Solomons who whilst giving birth this year, has also finished top of the Sharples Staff League. A double congratulations!!

We would like to again congratulate Yaseen for his outstanding achievement.

The real question is, can Yaseen keep hold of his crown next season? Or do you have what it takes to be the Sharples Fantasy Football Champion for 2021/2022?
