We have a new league leader!

By 5 November 2020June 2nd, 2021No Comments

It is all change at the top of the Fantasy Football league this week, previous league leader Harvey Kenny (9S1) slipped down to second place after Josh Marsh (8S) leapfrogged Harvey into first place. Despite the change at the top, there are currently only 8 points that separate the top three positions.

Manager of the Week award goes to Ali Ahmad (11R) who scored a monumental 91 points this weekend to catapult him into third place with an overall total of 310 points. Mr Burrow & Mr Baldwin are locked in joint 10th place with a total of 289 points whilst Mr Charlton is narrowly behind with 272 points.

There was mixed news for Southampton this weekend after they defeated Aston Villa in a thrilling 4-3 game, despite this result, they look set to have lost star striker Danny Ings to a knee injury which requires surgery. Ings looks set to miss the next 4 to 6 weeks, so any managers should consider replacing him. Mr Charlton has done just that, replacing him with Newcastle’s Callum Wilson who cost £2m less than Ings, with Wilson having scored more points than Ings this season.

The two interesting games this weekend are Everton vs Manchester United and Manchester City vs Liverpool, so I would encourage you to keep an eye out for this!

On a final note, be sure to check out our new Fantasy Football notice board down in PE during your PE lessons.

Enjoy this weekend!
