On Thursday of this week, our Good 2 Great students enjoyed the final monthly lecture of this academic year as we welcomed Andy Bates (from US based company Black and Veatch) to Sharples to discuss the Chemistry of Water!
From cleaning our drinking water at the local Sweetloves Water Plant, to the treatment of sewage and wastewater to make it suitable to return to the rivers and seas. Andy is an expert on all things water! When asked about the smell he said “You get used to it…but now I work on drinking water and not sewage.. by choice of course!”
