The Sharples’ Book Drive

By 28 February 2020June 2nd, 2021No Comments

At Sharples, we are keen to encourage our pupils to read for pleasure. Pupils who read regularly achieve higher GCSE grades and are more likely to secure managerial and professional jobs in the future. It is also a fantastic way to reduce stress and look after our pupils’ mental health.

Sharples’ pupils are privileged to have a brilliant library that we replenish with new books on a regular basis. However, we would like the community to help us in keeping the library full of great reads.

Over the next two weeks, there will be an Amnesty Box in the library for pupils to return any overdue library books. Parents, please ask pupils to search their bags and bedrooms for any forgotten books!

Furthermore, we would also appreciate donations of Children’s and Young Adult books from members of the Sharples’ community. If you have any books that you no longer need, please drop them off in reception and we will add them to our library shelves.
