STEM Club

This week saw the return of our Science Enrichment lunchtime clubs after the half-term break. If you are in Year 7, speak to your Form Tutor about joining up!

On Wednesday, STEM Club with Miss Dudley in G45 were carefully creating colourful acid and alkali rainbows. See below for some of the fantastic finished products!

Lab Safety Poster Competition

Every year when our new Year 7 students transition to Sharples, they practise fundamental lab and safety skills (as can be seen modelled brilliantly above!) as part of their Passport to Science lessons, including an introduction to investigations, experiments, equipment and measuring.

Last half-term, Miss Booth, Science Coordinator for Years 7 and 8, set our new scientists the task of designing creative and colourful safety posters to be displayed in the labs as a reminder of all the fundamental skills that they now have and will need for their scientific success at Sharples.

Congratulations to, from left to right, Ismael (1st), Mariyah (2nd) and Zayba (3rd) for their winning posters!
