Our fantastic relationship with Bolton Rotary reached a new level (on Saturday last week) as we hosted the “Rise Against Hunger” Rotary Meal Pack. Over 100 volunteers, including pupils and staff, turned up to our Sports Hall to pack dried rice and lentils into individual meal packets to be shipped to developing countries. The day was an amazing experience and we packed 35,000 meals in one day!
The organiser, Swati Mukherjee, had raised £13,000 in the past 9 months to fund the food, packing and shipping – a great role model for all of our students!
