A Sharples School student, Callum Tanner, took part in additional testing last Friday.  This was to further his passion kart racing. With the countries’ top X30 Mini drivers all present, Callum drove well all weekend. After the three heats and then qualifying 8th for the final, amongst a grid of twenty-six drivers, we are very pleased to report that he came 3rd overall. This now puts him currently at 5th position overall in the Whilton Mill Club Championship.

Callum’s next outing will be round two of the Trent Valley (PFI) Club Championship on 5th and 6th May. Following that, he will be moving on to round three of the U.K. Championship, the ‘Little Green Man (LGM) Series’, on 1st June at Kimbolton. We wish Callum the best of luck for his next race; we would like to congratulate him on his fantastic performance on Friday.
