Performing Arts – Music

Music is wonderful for enhancing creativity and learning new skills. Music lessons play a valuable role in a student’s education and personal growth, promoting self-discipline, resilience and patience. Instrumental and vocal lessons are available in Flute, Clarinet, Piano, Keyboards, Drumming, Vocal and Guitar.

As well as learning to play an instrument or developing their vocal skills, students learn how to improve their work and build self-confidence. Vocal student Jesika (Year 11) has singing tuition and has been a member of Sharples Choir since Year 7 and she says:

“Singing lessons and choir are an amazing way to improve your confidence and improve your singing voice in a fun and safe place where you never feel insecure or judged because everyone is accepted and encouraged to take part. Our amazing singing teacher Emily Matthews teaches you little tips and tricks to improve your singing voice, but also opens you up to new music.”
