On Tuesday, Year 8 travelled to Little Lever looking to improve on their impressive win in the Bolton Cup before half term. Unfortunately, the team had a depleted squad with many unable to play.  Despite the introduction of Cole Bridge, who has recovered from his broken toe, a win wasn’t on the cards.

However, Sharples still managed to score 4 goals but this wasn’t enough.  Our new look defence struggled to contain Little Lever’s attacking force and we conceded 6 goals. ‘Goal of the Match’ was scored by Josh Crompton and Taylor Biggar put in a ‘Man of the Match’ performance in midfield and in net.

Next week sees the start of the badminton season with fixtures against Canon Slade and Westhoughton on Monday night.
