During this first week we have taken the opportunity to share the news that this has been another excellent year for Sharples’ students. The 2019 results represent our best ever GCSE performance and helped continue our positive trend of year on year improvement. Achievement in the core subjects was very impressive with 91% of our students achieving Grade 9-4 in English and 84% achieving this benchmark in Maths; 80% achieved the Grade 9-4 in both subjects. We are also delighted that the vast majority of our subject areas achieved results significantly above national benchmarks.
