Unfortunately, St James had to cancel Sharples table tennis fixture with Sharples hoping to make it 3 wins in a row.
On another wintry afternoon, the year 9 football team travelled to St Catherine’s hoping to gain 3 points and put in a good performance before their Bolton Cup quarter final in the last week of term.
Sharples struggled to cope with the physicality of the opposition. Sam Hall put in a ‘Man of the Match’ performance in goal to keep the score down but Matthew Senior’s strike only proved to be a consolation. The team will look to bounce back in the cup before the end of term.
