Year 11 competed in a football tournament at Hacken Lane against many other schools. In such short games, Sharples struggled to get on the score sheet and failed to capitalise on the opportunities created. However, the team did manage to keep 3 clean sheets in their first 3 games. Sharples managed to break the deadlock in their 4th game, first through Finley Wardley, and then Ali Khan who was impressive throughout. After winning one game, losing one and drawing the other 4, Sharples finished a respectable 3rd place.

Sam Fullarton, Shakeel Limbada, Taylor Biggar and Matthew Senior were all selected to represent the school in the Bolton table tennis Championship. All competitors played against ranked individuals from other schools and then doubles. The standard was exceptionally high but Sharples won many games and secured victories against Thornleigh and Westhoughton. St James won the competition and will now go to the GM Championships.
