Following the completion of the first unit of the year, Year 8 students have been investigating how estimation is used within industry to provide cost estimates for clients.
The students used their estimation skills to provide a cost estimate for the flooring within an apartment.
Students could choose from a range of finishes and had to consider the durability, life span and installation cost. Click here to view the challenge they were set.
These were all built into a final cost plan and presented to the class.
