The Year 7 Maths Club launched this week, with students making paper helicopters! The competition was to build the helicopter which took the longest time to land. Students experimented with different types of paper, tracing paper and card along with different lengths for the propellers, to see who could create the most successful aircraft. Students had fun while developing their skills in mathematical modelling by asking and answering their own questions, refining their ideas and improving on their previous attempts.
Year 7 Maths Club takes place every Friday lunchtime in U27 with Miss Pearson and Mrs Hart – all Year 7 students are welcome!
