The Year 7 football team played in a nine goal thriller on Wednesday against Ladybridge in the cup. Sharples opened the scoring with a nicely worked goal from Ahmed Mitha. Ladybridge hit back 5 minutes later and we then conceded a penalty just before halftime. Sharples came out firing in the second half having the majority of the possession and being very much on top but Ladybridge broke away and nicked 2 goals on a quick counter attack. Ahmed Mitha stepped up with an outstanding individual goal taking on 4 players and slotting the ball in the top corner. Ladybridge showed serious class as they managed to extend their lead and the game finished 6-3. Well done Sharples and a big shout out to Ahmed Mitha for an outstanding performance.
