By 2 March 2018June 2nd, 2021No Comments

Our fantastic students embraced their love for reading on Thursday 1st March: World book Day. As always our students showed real enthusiasm and participated in a range of activities. We: hunted for Where’s Wally across school; made some excellent eggs decorated as our favourite book characters; had fun speeding dating with books; went on a quote quest and much more!

World Book Day – Fancy Dress Competition
First place went to Mrwa Kheir.
Second place went to Poppi Carlton.
Joint third place went to Megan Jones and Norbet Bocian.

World Book Day – Egg Competition
On Thursday 1st March, the students took part in an eggciting competition.
The students had to create an egg so that it resembled their favourite book character.
As the competition was such a hit, we are hope to repeat the success next year…watch this space!
Winner: Megan Jones
Second place: Halima Patel

Readathon 2018
To coincide with World Book day, many of our student have signed up to take part on our annual Readthon event on Friday 9th March . Hopefully, we will top last year’s effort. Last year, we raised £305.66! If you would like to sponsor a student, you may use the link below:
