Last Saturday, Sharples School took a group of Year 11 pupils to the University of Bolton to take part in their Universities Insight Day. The pupils listened to speeches provided by leading universities such as the University of Manchester, Leeds, Bradford, York, Lancaster, Salford and Bolton who all gave a brief overview of their university and courses on offer. The pupils then had time to speak to representatives from each university to ask further questions and pick up prospectuses. As universities take GCSE grades and A Level choices into consideration, it was a fantastic opportunity for all Year 11 pupils.
