This week, our Year 9 pupils dared to enter the Professor’s Quarters at the Grange Theatre to hear a lecture by the acclaimed author of Terrible Tales – Professor Scream! Little did they realise he needed a mystery solved!
Our students were given the task to explore each location which represented a key place in one of Professor Screams’ horrific novels enabling them to solve some of the clues.
In each location they were challenged to interact with a character, who set up an English Language related task to deal with a series of circumstances and problems!
Everyone involved, including Mr Stanier, enjoyed the day and found the tasks extremely beneficial. They had lots of fun whilst developing their English skills.
It was an experience that left them ‘buzzing’ for English!
