On Tuesday of this week, our Year 10 Music students travelled to Runshaw College to take part in The Big Band Day.
An orchestra of over 40 instruments was put together in one day to perform in front of a packed evening audience.
Our students performed solos during the Jazz and Funk evening alongside Year 12 and 13 students from Runshaw.
It was a daunting experience but, despite the nerves, it was a fantastic success with a grand finale of “The Watermelon Song!”
Well done to everyone involved and thank you to Runshaw for providing the experience.
