The school swimming squad were in action for the annual Bolton Swimming Championships at Bolton One this week. The team included both KS3 and KS4 and they have been preparing for the event after school with Mrs Garth.
The competition was fierce but Sharples still managed to give an excellent account of themselves. Three of our students even managed to finish in medal positions. Grace T is a competitive swimmer outside of school and came 1st place in both butterfly and front crawl. Adrian W hasn’t been as active in his training recently but showed what a talent he is finishing in second place for butterfly. Year 7 student Jayden O managed 3rd place in butterfly, an incredible achievement at his first competition for school. Well done to all students who represented the school for their brilliant efforts!
