Sports Report – Girls’ Netball

By 7 March 2019June 2nd, 2021No Comments

On Tuesday, the Year 9 netball team travelled to Bolton School to take part in the annual Bolton Schools’ Netball Tournament. The weather was kind to us as the rain managed to hold off throughout the event. 14 schools took part in the tournament and we were placed in group A. This meant our opposition was Bolton School, Thornleigh, Harper Green, Mount St Joseph’s, Turton and Rivington. There were some great performances during each of the matches and the girls performed particularly well against Harper Green winning the match. The other games were very close. Bolton School went on to win the tournament. As always, Sharples students represented the school in a really positive manner and tried their best throughout the tournament. Well done to everyone who took part.  The ‘Player of the Tournament’ went to Freya Swailes who kept the morale of the team up during all of the games.
