Sharples had their first tennis training session at Eagley this week. Students will be taken to Eagley’s new refurbished tennis courts to develop their skills every week over the next term.
A special congratulations to Taylor Biggar, Matthew Senior and Marcus Jackson. All three have been selected to represent the district at cricket. A superb achievement that will ensure all three have a very busy year.
Marcus is the current top run scorer in the school and has represented the district for a number of years now.
Matthew Senior actually plays outside of school for Greenmount which means he will be representing the Bury district team. Matthew has also had trials with Lancashire CC and hopes to make the squad this season.
After some impressive performances for Bradshaw CC this year, Taylor has been selected to represent the district. Taylor’s best score this year was 67 not out against Heston CC and it’s displays like that have led to him being called up to the team.
