It has been an action packed first week back for students in PE at Sharples. During lessons, students have moved on to some new sports including: rugby, swimming, table tennis and badminton.

Outside of lessons attendance to extra-curricular clubs at lunch time and after school continues to be excellent. There have been a number of new clubs started this term such as: rugby, girls football and basketball. Please check the new timetable for more information and days.

The Year 7 football team continued their impressive run of winning form with another superb result, this time away at Essa Academy. The squad braved the cold conditions and put in a fantastic team performance and showed great resilience to twice come from behind and win the game 4-2. Man of the match was Isaac Henry who put in an excellent all round performance and Harvey Kenny added to his already impressive goal tally when he curled the ball into the net from a corner kick. The team will need to be in top form next Tuesday when they travel to Smithills and compete in the Bolton Futsal tournament.
