This week, the rounders team traveled to Westhoughton. The weather was kind to us and we managed to get two innings played. We went in to bat first and made contact with nearly all of the oppositions bowls. This meant that we managed to score a number of runs which put us in a good position to start with. Westhoughton went into bat and scored a number of lucky rounders putting them into the lead after the first innings. The second innings was a lot closer as we got into the swing of both batting and fielding. Westhoughton beat us by 15 points in the end. Well done to all who played and especially Lucy Olive who got ‘Player of the Match’. Good luck to the Year 7 and 8 teams who have their tournament next Tuesday at Harper Green.
