The KS3 table tennis team were back in action this week against Thornleigh. Sharples had a full strength team with a blend of youth and experience.

From the start, Sharples were dominant and looked the immediate favourites.

In the end, Sharples ran out convincing winners with an end score line of 71-50. Shakeel Limbada led from the front and managed to win all of his games whilst Archie Lonsdale, Jack Gornall and Sam Fullarton weren’t far behind winning all but one of their matches.

Overall, it was a superb team performance and excellent preparation for Bolton School next week.
It has been a great start to the new year for many pupils at Sharples in PE. Attendance to practice in swimming and girls and boys football has been fantastic. The girls football season is up and running with their first fixture of the season against Canon Slade at home next Thursday.
The Year 7 boys football team will also be back in action in the league next Tuesday when they travel to St Catherine’s.
