Students from Sharples School took part in this year’s Shakespeare Schools Festival. Over a period of several months, students from years 7 to 10 rehearsed scenes from Macbeth which culminated in a performance at a professional theatre, The Met, in Bury. The evening was a great success with a polished performance by the cast. They were supported and watched by family, friends and staff.
Students from years 7, 8 and 9 were fortunate enough to watch the Macbeth performance during assemblies this week, at Sharples School, and the cast received lots of positive feedback from their peers and staff alike. The performance gave Year 8 students an insight into the Shakespearean play which they will be studying in English during the forthcoming months.
