Primary Astronomy
On Tuesday this week, our GCSE Astronomy Ambassadors did an absolutely amazing job delivering fun astronomy activities to St Paul’s reception, including telling the stories behind the constellations (top picture in the below set), how-to-use binoculars (third picture below) and playing “pin the star on the constellation” (bottom picture) as well as talking to them about their favourite aspects of astronomy and being at Sharples.
LGBT+ History Month
This month is LGBT+ History Month and the Science team is running a creative bunting competition for our younger students to celebrate the contributions of LGBT+ Scientists throughout history. If you are in Years 7 or 8, speak to your Science teacher for an entry form. The deadline for entries is Friday 25th February, prizes to be announced after half-term!
