STEM Club

This week, the Year 7 STEM Club in G45 at Wednesday lunchtime were investigating density and buoyancy with Miss Dudley and Mr Burke. A less dense fluid will float on the surface of a more dense fluid, such as oil on water. Add some colour and you get test tube rainbows! Thanks to our brilliant Year 8 STEM Ambassador, Ben, who was on hand to help out our younger scientists.

Career Competition

The Year 8 Career Competition kicked off this week, where students were challenged to create a science career profile, with the best profiles being displayed around the science department to raise awareness of the many job opportunities available to our students following a science education. Pick up a template from your science teacher now and get designing! The deadline for submissions is Friday 10th December and there are prizes up for grabs for the best ones…
