Dear Parent / Carer,
I hope that you have had a restful Christmas break and I am looking forward to welcoming our students back to school ready for a prompt start to registration at 8.45am on Thursday, 6 January 2022.
For those of you who have consented to your child being part of the on-going Covid home testing programme, I would strongly recommend that your child does a Lateral Flow Test on Wednesday, 5 January, prior to their return to school and that you record the result using TestRegister. I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that in line with Government Guidance, students will also be tested in school on either Thursday, 6 January or, Friday, 7 January, if consent has been given.
Finally, you will be aware that this week the Government has announced that secondary school students will once again be required to wear face coverings in lessons until Wednesday, 26 January, in the first instance. Please ensure that your child has a suitable face covering with them each day, unless they have a medical exemption.
