On Wednesday, twenty of our current Year 9 pupils attended taster sessions at Bolton 6th Form College as part of our drive to raise pupils’ aspirations to pursue ambitious post-16 opportunities in education. They took part in three sessions: the theory behind physical education, which included a presentation from two former pupils Rhys Aston and Chloe Smith; an interactive science session including chemical experiments and monitoring blood pressure; and a business session based around the cost and profit of running a football club.
The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the event and received praise from the college on their maturity and focus throughout the day.
