I wish to bring to your attention the new railings around the car park in front of Hill Cot House. These have been erected in order to:
- Prevent pupils from crossing the car park at the end of the school day;
- Prevent cars parking on the pavements thus stopping pupils from crossing between parked cars at the end of the school day.
Pupils often run out of school and are not always fully attentive to the traffic situation. We have witnessed very near misses and want to put the safety of all our pupils first.
Please encourage your child to walk home with friends or siblings to avoid the need to collect them. If it is absolutely necessary, please avoid using the car park and instead park considerately on Hill Cot Road bearing in mind our very tolerant neighbours. I would also ask that you drive slowly as you drop off/pick up, observing the highway code at all times.
