My First Photography Experience

By 3 December 2018June 2nd, 2021No Comments

The following article was written by Sharples student Harvey Stigwood who photographed Sharples Theatre Company performing Macbeth.

My first photography experience was most definitely a learning curve and a new experience that opened my eyes to the photographic industry. At first, I found it quite difficult and uncomfortable because the day was so fast paced and I was unsure what photographs to take. However, as the day went on, I felt a lot more comfortable taking photographs of the rehearsal and found my stride once I began to focus on capturing the best shots. I used a variety of skills, which I learned in my photography class, to capture the strongest photographs, but I also tested some new skills to see what else I could achieve with my camera. I thoroughly enjoyed photographing the event and working with the Performing Arts students and hope that there will be more events where I can put my new skills to use.
