Last week, the new Member of Parliament for Bolton North East, Mark Logan, came to visit us at Sharples.

He toured the school and was impressed by our facilities including the STEM Centre, the Super Classroom and the Observatory.

Mr Logan also met with the Year 7 and Year 8 Student Affairs Committee who asked him some thoughtful questions about life as an MP and about his plans for the future of Bolton.

Mr Logan really enjoyed his visit and commented that he was “Very impressed with the questions, enthusiasm and knowledge exhibited by the students he met.” He also commented on the “Strong learning culture,” which was evident throughout his visit.
