On Thursday 16th November, fifeteen Year 10 and 11 girls visited the University of Salford to take part in an inspiring Maths in Action event.
There were many motivational speakers including Simon Singh, the broadcaster of the Simpsons and James Grime who discussed the secret world of code breaking.
Overall, it was a very challenging and advanced day out for the girls who came away with their brains hurting. However, it has most certainly showed them how Maths is used by extremely qualified professionals on a day to day basis.
