Year 10 undoubtedly produced their best performance in 4 years this week against a strong Essa side. The conditions were not kind to either team, yet this did not phase Sharples who broke the deadlock early with a poacher’s goal from Phil Ufuoma. The second came soon after some crisp passing from the team which was finished brilliantly by Cole Bridge. Two more goals were added in short succession after some impressive defensive efforts from the team with the half time lead being 4-0. Year 10 were relentless in the second half, adding 6 more goals to their total throughout the game! Liam Worswick scored 2 long range goals including a 40 plus yard free kick which is becoming a regular occurrence for him. Blazej Kowalczyk was in the mix with a neat finish along with a man of the match performance from Cole Bridge scoring 6 goals in total! A phenomenal performance from the team showing great teamwork and cohesion.
