Mrs Patel took a group of 30 Year 8 pupils on a RS trip to Manchester. During the trip, they visited The Manchester Buddhist Centre where they were given key information about the Buddhist religion and how they worship. They took part in meditation, lit candles, chanted mantras and thought about their purpose in life. After this, they visited Manchester Cathedral where they were able to view how Christians worship and what it involves. The trip ended with a meal at Archie’s Burger and Shakes where the pupils enjoyed their gourmet burgers and unique milkshakes.

The pupils really enjoyed themselves and have been able to see religion in practice which will enhance their knowledge ready to start their RS GCSE course in September.
