This week, Year 3 (from The Oaks Primary School) visited us at Sharples and they brought with them their homemade volcano models! The class have been learning about how volcanoes form and the stories of the most famous volcanoes around the world including Vesuvius and the ash cloud volcano in Iceland.

Mr Stapley and Miss Molyneux then helped the students to erupt their volcanoes using a chemical reaction of vinegar, baking soda and – of course – red food colouring! The volcanoes were so realistic and we were very impressed with the students knowledge of the subject!
