This week, Year 3 pupils from The Oaks Primary School brought their papier-mâché volcanoes to our science labs to learn about volcanic rocks and to erupt their volcanoes using chemistry!
The pupils learned about pumice, basalt and granite, all rocks from volcanoes.
They used ethanoic acid mixed with bicarbonate of soda with red food colouring to give it that lava look and erupted their volcanoes with the help of our science ambassadors!
