King Charles Visits Bolton

By 23 January 2023No Comments

The following article was written by a Sharples student about the visit of King Charles to Bolton on Friday 20th January.

We left early and when we made it the excitement finally hit us. We spent 30 minutes to 1 hour waiting for the King and Queen Consort to arrive so we had some lunch and relaxed for a while before going outside to welcome the King at the Town Hall steps. We stood at the front and saw the Mayor of Bolton and the priest. When the King and Queen Consort arrived everyone went crazy when he shook hands and watched a dance on the streets. Then they entered the town hall building and we got to shake hands with the Queen Consort. The experience was definitely unforgettable. Thank you to everyone that made this happen.
