Head Teacher’s Update

By 25 May 2018June 2nd, 2021No Comments

As usual this half-term has been incredibly busy at Sharples, as we work hard to ensure that all of our students achieve their full potential both within and beyond the classroom.

GCSE exams are now well underway and I am proud of our Year 11 students who are exhibiting a real determination to achieve their very best. They have engaged fully with the numerous additional learning sessions provided by our dedicated staff including ‘Super Saturday’s’ and our legendary Sunday science sessions at McDonald’s. The hard work will continue next week with a number of departments providing Year 11 sessions as part of our ‘Whit School’.

This half-term we have also enjoyed meeting some of our New Year 7 pupils and their families at our ‘Pathway to Success Evening’. Our Year 7 Transition Programme will continue over the next few months to ensure that all our 240 new starters are warmly welcomed into the Sharples Family.

I hope that all of students have a happy and safe half-term break. I look forward to welcoming them all back to school on Monday 4th June, in full school uniform for a prompt start to learning at 8.45am.
