On Monday, a selection of Year 7 students – who are on our ‘Good to Great’ programme – attended a Gothic Literature event at Astley Hall. The students had a great time and heard excerpts from Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and Mary Shelley’s classic, Frankenstein. Having Astley Hall (Chorley) as the backdrop for this event, only heightened the atmosphere created by the storytellers. Fun was had by all. Mrs N Smith would like to thank Mrs Hughes and Miss Pyrsak for supporting this event and also the students involved – you were all a credit to the school!
