Last week, Year 11 pupils attended the Poetry Live show at Manchester Palace Theatre where they listened to poetry readings from their anthology poets including Carol Ann Duffy, Simon Armitage and Imtiaz Dharker. Pupils were able to ask questions to gain a deeper understanding of the poems and, their meanings, as well as take part in examiner sessions where they learned how to approach unseen poetry exam questions.
It was a brilliant and engaging day, and has made Year 11 all the more ready for their exams in summer.
