Football – Year 10 Boys

Unfortunately, King’s Academy had to cancel the Year 7 and 8 game this week but it has been rescheduled for next Wednesday.

Year 10 were back in action with an important match against Thornleigh in the Bolton Cup. It was always going to be a difficult evening against one of the favourites to win the competition. Sharples were immediately on the back foot and struggled to withstand the pressure and found themselves 3 nil down on the stroke of halftime but Harvey Hampson surprisingly lobbed the goalkeeper from his own half directly from the kick off to pull one back just before the interval. Unfortunately, this was as good as it got for the team and Thornleigh showed their dominance in the second period and put the game out of sight. Jayden Cross did well to keep the score down and Finley Westwood was superb at the back and led by example.
