Sharples year 9 and 10 had a good turn out to training this week in preparation for their games next week.

Year 7 and 8 were both in action this week against Kearsley academy. Year 7 started the game very well and Mohammed Ayman and Mohammed Suleman were causing the opposition numerous problems on their debut. It’s hard to believe Sharples weren’t in the lead after half time having created and missed a number of chances.

In the second half, Sharples had a poor 15 minute period and the game was out of sight despite Daniel Clarke scoring a consolation goal at the end. Luis Hogan put in a ‘Man of the Match’ performance in defence.

Year 8 had a similar encounter and also struggled to make the most of their opportunities in front of goal. Goals from Hassan Mitha and Cole Bridge and a ‘Man of the Match’ performance by Blazej Kowaalczyk wasn’t enough to avoid a home defeat to Kearsley Academy.
