On Tuesday our April Good 2 Great Programme Lecture was presented by Dave Walker, an astrophotographer from Bolton Astronomical Society (BAS).
Dave has travelled the world capturing stunning photographs of objects that pass “Between us and the Sun”. These have included planets: the transit of Mercury and Venus, the International Space Station, aeroplanes and – in 2017 – he experienced the total solar eclipse from Texas, USA.
Our junior astronomy club were there to hear all about it along with staff, governors and families of Sharples students.
A huge thank you to Dave Walker and the BAS for hosting the talk here with us.
