On Wednesday 12th February, Sharples School took a group of Year 10 boys to Manchester Metropolitan University to take part in a Comic Smart Workshop. The students engaged with the superhero genre to plan (and create) their own comic book strip. This was a fantastic opportunity for them as they were able to utilise their narrative writing skills, and channel their creativity, in order to bring their comic strip to life. Pupils commented on how engaging the workshop was and how they were able to transfer the skills employed when creating their own narratives ready for their GCSEs.
