Year 7 and Year 10 Art students have worked really hard this year to produce a stunning display of Chinese inspired observational drawings, print ideas and textiles work. The inspiration for the topic came from researching about the friendship agreement signed between Bolton and the city of Zhaoqing (in Guangdong Province in China) to improve education, culture and commerce. Students have been taken through a journey of uncovering research, develop design ideas and realising personal intentions for a final design outcome. Through their investigations, they have used Maths skills to accomplish grid method drawings. They have learnt about colour theory and how to work using different materials.

The work has been showcased in Bolton Market place. The exhibition will last from Friday 29th June until Friday 13th July.
